Come Good People

music and lyrics by Bernard Hull

Come good people, come one, come all,
Lift your voices in praise and sing,
In response to the angel’s call,
Come and worship the new born King,

Glory sing to the Lord Most High,
Peace and good will to all the Earth,
Angels echoed across the sky,
In a small, humble manger,
Come and worship Messiah’s birth.

Shepherds ran to see one so fair,
The shepherd born of the Great I Am,
And I wonder, were they aware
That this shepherd would be a lamb

Glory sing to the Lord Most High,
Peace and good will to all the Earth,
Angels echoed across the sky,
In a small, humble manger,
Come and worship Messiah’s birth.

Magi from a distant land,
Came to see the King,
In a stable far from grand,
They presented
Priceless gifts to him.

Come good people and see the King
Join the angels around the throne
Lift your voices in praise and sing
To the Christ Child and him alone

Glory sing to the Lord Most High,
Peace and good will to all the Earth,
Angels echoed across the sky,
In a small, humble manger,
Jesus welcomes the stranger,
Come and worship Jesus’ birth.
