Paradise

music and lyrics by Bernard Hull

On that day at Calvary,

Jesus hung in agony,

People scoffing all around,

Not one kind word could be found.

Soldiers gambled for His cloak,

People jeering as they spoke,

Saying, "Jesus, won't you come down now?

We never did believe you anyhow!"

Two thieves beside him began to sing

A song of ridicule to him,

"If you are God's promised one,

Save us all from what's been done!"

But one of them did change his tune,

Knowing he'd be dying soon,

He said, "Think of me in your home on high."

And this is what Jesus said in reply -

(Chorus)

Come with me on high my son,

Where no evil can be done.

Come with me, I've paid the price

So you can be with me in Paradise.

Jesus comes to us today,

With these simple words to say,

"Will you come now and follow me?

I can make you truly free!"

So don't you wait too long my friend,

Before you life comes to an end,

Come to Jesus, take my advice

And you will be with Him in Paradise.

(Repeat Chorus)

Come with me, I'll make you whole,

Give you peace and heal your soul.

I have made the perfect sacrifice,

So you can be with me in Paradise.

Oh won't you come with me to Paradise?

Yes you will be with me in Paradise
